Pm ignored warning

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today said if his party came to power, they would take measures to ensure that Ram Sethu was protected. "It is part of our heritage and culture, and the UPA Government is ignoring people's sentiments on the issue," he said, recalling that as early as March 2007 he had written to the prime minister about the security and environment risks involved."I had said the project could be a serious security risk for the country and seriously affect its environment. I had also said the canal will expose the coast of Kerala to tsunamis, and wash away India's precious Thorium deposit," said Joshi, who is aligned with VHP
